Dr. John Gonda

Dr. John Gonda was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley in Southern California. He graduated with a BS in Animal Science from Cal Poly Pomona in 1994 before going on to receive a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from UC Davis in 1998. While there, Dr. Gonda completed the Millman Fellowship in Radiology. Dr. Gonda has a special interest in small animal internal medicine, soft tissue surgery and radiology/ultrasonography.

John’s wife, Sarah, is also a veterinarian, and together they have 2 sons. Their pets include former guide dog in training from Guide Dogs for the Blind named Drama, 3 cats named Kit-Kat, Me-Mow and Tootles. In his free time, Dr. Gonda enjoys photography, hiking, travel, and scuba diving. His award winning underwater photography can be seen decorating the walls of our hospital. Dr. Gonda works closely with both Guide Dogs for the Blind as well as multiple Greyhound rescue organizations. Having owned a former racing greyhound, Bellini, who passed away in 2010, it is a cause that is dear to Dr. Gonda’s heart.
